2. Description: High Performance Computing Training Engineer
Infrastructure Development Corporation has an immediate opening for a qualified Trainer/Engineer to deliver advanced High Performance Computing (HPC) technology training and participate in HPC design, installation and configuration. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting and overseeing training in regards to HPC with Infiniband and Ethernet using existing course materials; responsible for conducting courses 3-5 days in length; responsible for assiting in the development of HPC designs and participating in the installation and configuration of HPC solutions for our global customers.

Exciting opportunity for travel within US/Europe/Asia PAC! Ideal for the Individual Consultant.

The successful candidate will have the following:

Product/Technical Expertise
1. High Performance Computing Clusters with InfiniBand and Ethernet - Access, Management, IPC and Storage Networks; Linux and Windows; MPI and OFED, Subnet Management, Grid Utility Computing, Database Clusters, Multi Fabric Input Output (MFIO), Server Networking and Virtualization…InfiniBand Server Fabric Switches, Host Channel Adapters

2. Ability to function effectively in a cross functional, interdisciplinary environment.

3. Strong background in Linux and Windows OS administration, networking and storage.

4. Strong trainer skills and expertise including:

a) Quick Learner - must be able to ramp up very quickly from written materials, hands on time with equipment and real class exposure will be limited; remote lab access must be coordinated around existing trainings

b) Flexible - Courseware evolving from existing class to new content with HPC focus, must be available for Alpha/Beta and pilot delivery

c) Self Starter – must work independently, take ownership for preparing, delivering and performing post training follow up (verifying remote lab is working correctly, reviewing/editing materials, setting up VPN router in classroom, getting students to fill out evaluation forms, rolling back lab, etc.)

d) Ability to effectively train people at different skill levels – although class prerequisites are defined, the level of expertise posessed by students in one class can vary widely (sales to network engineers)

e) Ability to Function as a Master Trainer - must be able to Train the Trainers
